Endovascular Consultants of Colorado (ECCO), The Best Endovascular Specialists in Colorado, Launches New Patient-Centric Website

Best Endovascular Group

Worldclass Endovascular Care

ECCO provides advanced vascular and interventional radiology services on an outpatient basis, serving patients while working collaboratively with referring physician colleagues.

ECCO, a top endovascular center in Colorado, has launched a new patient-centric website. The new site, online at http://www.endovascularexperts.com, is designed to provide Denver area patients with high-quality information about today’s advanced, minimally-invasive arterial, venous, cancer, men and women’s treatments, and other leading-edge radiology therapies.

ECCO, which stands for Endovascular Consultants of Colorado, is a newly formed practice in Lone Tree, Colorado that focuses on interventional radiology, specifically for patients with the following disease states: metastatic cancer to the liver, peripheral arterial disease, benign prostatic hypertrophy, uterine fibroids, pelvic congestion syndrome, venous insufficiency, venous obstruction, non healing wounds and leg swelling. ECCO’s main priority for their new website was therefore to provide patients with accurate, helpful information about treatments and how their practice helps patients to achieve their best outcomes. “Our entire team is extremely pleased with how the site has turned out,” said Dr. Aaron Kovaleski, ECCO’s Founder and one of its physicians.

ECCO physician, Dr. Charles Nutting added, “Our goal is to provide patients with useful information about the treatments we offer in a patient-friendly, easy-to-understand format. It was important for us to align our message and services with our patient’s online search habits as most patients now research their doctors and procedures online.”

The ECCO website features educational articles, videos and descriptions of the center’s leading, minimally-invasive treatments for different types of men and women’s diseases with a focus on peripheral artery disease and liver cancer treatments. The site is easy to navigate and features an original, visually-appealing design created by innovative healthcare growth strategy and design firm, Paramount/MD. Patients can visit the site to learn more about interventional radiology and cancer treatment by going to: http://www.endovascularexperts.com.

Treatment Options

Similar to radiologists, ECCO helps to diagnose cancers and other disorders. As Denver’s interventional oncology specialists, the practice focuses on high-end, minimally-invasive procedures used to treat different types of cancer. These procedures include microwave and cryoablation, chemoembolization or radioembolization of tumors, portal vein embolization, and treatment of bony metastases. Many of these tumors occur in the liver, and these procedures allow ECCO to provide the most advanced liver cancer treatment in Colorado as well as nationally.

In addition, ECCO serves as a top peripheral vascular disease center in Colorado, specializing in lower extremity arterial revascularization, endovenous laser therapy and venous stent placement.

The center also devotes a part of its practice to the treatment of problematic women’s health issues, such as female pelvic pain due to uterine fibroids, pelvic congestion syndrome, or May-Thurner Syndrome; and men’s health issues such as benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) with prostate artery embolization (PAE), or varicocele (one of the many causes of infertility) with gonadal vein embolization.

About ECCO

ECCO is a medical practice based in Lone Tree, CO that focuses on interventional radiology and minimally invasive options for a variety of patient conditions – including oncology, wounds, leg pain, and men’s/women’s health issues. The practice is located at 8080 Park Meadows Drive, Suite 130 Lone Tree, CO 80124 in the new, state-of-the-art outpatient center, with its top-line facilities and technology and “patient-centric” approach.

Aaron Kovaleski, MD and Charles Nutting, DO are board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular and Interventional Radiology. They have both practiced for a collective 33 years, receiving excellent feedback from the doctors and patients they have worked with. ECCO specialists consult with patients and their primary doctors, perform the appropriate procedure, and follow up with them just as any surgeon would—though not within the boundaries of a large diagnostic radiology group. Instead, ECCO is a free-standing interventional radiology practice, dedicated to patient-centric care and staying on top of and in front of the most exciting advances in the treatment of a variety of women’s and men’s health issues, with a strong focus on lower extremity arterial disease and liver cancer.

ECCO is the only Office Based Laboratory (OBL) in the Denver metro area doing arterial interventions of any kind, including leg revascularization. It is also the only full time, fully operational OBL in Colorado and the only practice in Colorado performing liver cancer treatments in an outpatient center. Dr. Charles Nutting leads this initiative and is nationally recognized as a leader in this field. He has been on the forefront of IR advancement in this area and he and Dr. Aaron Kovaleski are two of 40 proctors in the US for Y90 radioembolizaiton – an endovascular cancer therapy in which radioactive beads are injected through the arteries into tumors that have spread to the liver. Dr. Nutting did the first one in the US nearly 20 years ago and the 100,000 in 2019.

Dr. Nutting is one of a handful of people in the country that also performs prostate artery embolization (PAE). It treats a benign syndrome in males called benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), and is considered one of the most technically challenging procedures in IR. He does the most of anyone in the country and travels the US training people in his techniques. To date, he has performed over 350 prostate embolizations and was recently honored to coauthor a chapter, From Patient Selection To Advanced Embolization Techniques, in his industry’s only book dedicated to PAE called, “Prostatic Artery Embolization.”

Dr. Kovaleski is a specialist, trainer, and speaker for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) intervention. He is currently the only physician in the state of Colorado doing limb salvage in an OBL, and one of a “very small number” of physicians doing specialized below knee treatments for limb salvage. Additionally both he and Dr. Nutting are certified in wound care and skilled to treat the entire spectrum of vascular causes of wounds.

The practice works with the best oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, podiatrists, primary care physicians, nephrologists, endocrinologists, urologists, and ob/gyn’s in the area to provide the most advanced minimally-invasive outpatient treatment options in Colorado. The treatment center’s use of minimally-invasive procedures helps lower the cost of treatment while reducing the patient’s risks associated with more invasive treatments. ECCO is Medicare certified and they accept most types of insurance.
