Seven Experts Headline 2020 Wellnessing Getaway At Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

From May 1-3, the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit will host its 2020 Wellnessing Getaway featuring industry experts, fitness classes, self-awareness workshops, sessions on superfood, and other mindful wellness activities. All special Wellness Week activities are included complimentary in the resort’s nightly rate.

Mexican fitness trainer and founder of the Cardio & Sculpt Power Yoga system, Rebecca Sutton will kick off the retreat with a 1-hour core cardio and dance workout. Karla Tafra, a highly sought-after yoga instructor and nutritionist from Seattle, will lead a mindful yoga session as well as teach a nutrition class on the powers of super foods. Mexican physiotherapist Beatriz Madrazo will host an art therapy workshop, showcasing the powers of creativity and individual expressions. Adriana Azuara, CEO of Mexico’s All4Spas will lead an ancestral ritual of ocean healing and host a herbal workshop. Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit’s own shaman, Tonatiuh Garcia, will perform an awe-inspiring fire ceremony, calling guests to join a fire circle to eliminate negative energies and make space for new beginnings. Ana Paula Domínguez, founder and director of the Mexican Institute of yoga, and sound therapist Roberto Gopar, close out the three-day event with a final meditation calling on the five-elements to encourage balance and inner harmony. Being the first one to introduce temazcal as a holistic therapy in the spa world, Tonatiuh Garcia has developed projects as coach of temazcal in Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Riviera Maya. Founder and director of the Mexican Institute of yoga, and a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, Ana Paula Domínguez studied the traditional system of Indian medicine (Ayurveda) in India and the United States, under the guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad. She had written several books, and is currently a facilitator for the “Harmonizer Program” of the PeaceEarth Foundation, with UNESCO.

About Beatriz Madrazo:

Beatriz Madrazo is a Mexican physiotherapist focused on emotional expressions through Art Therapy. She achieved two master’s degrees in Mexico: Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for Children and Adolescents at Asociacion Psicoanalitica Mexicana (APM), as well as Human Development at the Universidad Iberoamericana. Having participated in two Art Therapy training courses in the USA and Canada, she is currently completing high-level degree training in Clinical Psychology at Asociacion Psicoanalitica Mexicana (APM).
