Each year, we’re amazed at the huge hurdles so many of our scholarship applicants have overcome and still maintain an attitude of positivity and perseverance. It’s a true honor to be able to assist the final 7 recipients with their future career goals.
OKLAHOMA CITY (PRWEB)
November 12, 2019
180 Medical, a leading nationwide supplier specializing in catheters, ostomy supplies, incontinence products, and related disposable medical supplies, is proud to announce the seven recipients of the 2019 180 Medical College Scholarship.
180 Medical was founded on principles of compassion and service. Todd Brown, the founder of 180 Medical, created the 180 Medical College Scholarship Program in 2012 as a way to help students with specific disabilities and conditions, including: spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder, and/or an ostomy (ileostomy, urostomy, or colostomy.)
Students eligible for the scholarships are often burdened by additional financial costs due to their health condition, so the 180 Medical Scholarship exists to help alleviate that burden and allow students to achieve their career dreams despite the medical challenges they face.
The seven finalists who have received the $1,000 scholarship award are:
-
Anissa Morrison (Southern Utah University) - Benjamin Hulin (Grand Canyon University)
- Harrison Rose (Central Michigan University)
- Lauren Irving (Saddleback College)
- Lauren Sammons (University of Kentucky)
- Madison Weaver (West Chester University)
- Ryan Barry (Rochester of Institute of Technology)
Mark Jassey, Chief Commercial Officer of 180 Medical, spoke to the incredible attributes of the scholarship award winners saying, “Each year, we’re amazed at the huge hurdles so many of our scholarship applicants have overcome and still maintain an attitude of positivity and perseverance. It’s a true honor to be able to assist the final 7 recipients with their future career goals.”
