YorLabs Completes First Phase of Executive Management Team Appointments

We believe our team brings extensive experience to accomplish this and help solve the issues facing clinicians specifically in the interventional cardiology (IC) and electrophysiology (EP) Cath labs.

YorLabs, a developer of cutting-edge intracardiac image guided therapy solutions, announced it has completed the first phase of appointing the company’s executive management team to lead its developmental and commercialization endeavors. The company recently appointed William “Bill” Starling as Chairman of the Board; Glen McLaughlin President and Chief Executive Officer; Nikki Troiano Gainey Chief Commercialization Officer, Priscilla “PJ” Ryland Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships; and Tim Marcotte Chief Financial Officer.

“When undertaking our comprehensive development of intracardiac image guided therapy tools, we wanted to ensure our success by installing a leading team of industry experts to achieve our goals,” said Anshumali Roy, Founder and Chief Technology Officer, YorLabs. “We believe our team brings extensive experience to accomplish this and help solve the issues facing clinicians specifically in the interventional cardiology (IC) and electrophysiology (EP) Cath labs.”

YorLabs is designing its solution to provide automatic upgrades to maintain cutting-edge technology throughout the lifecycle of the platform. The company is developing novel algorithms to enable world class, intracardiac image guided therapy performance with dedicated application and procedural based settings and offerings. The YorLabs solution will be an intuitive user interface platform, resulting in significant clutter and size reduction along with a greatly enhanced workflow.

“Today’s Cath lab faces numerous challenges including capital constraints and disparate systems,” said McLaughlin. “It is our vision to provide an integrated therapy imaging solution with superb image quality and significantly improved workflow, while offering relief from large capital outlays and enabling ongoing, state-of-the art visualization.”

Roy, an ultrasound miniaturization visionary, advanced integrated circuits design and integration expert, indicates the need is to streamline and integrate the IC and EP environment and not have products that interfere with each other. He states that current solutions are not optimized for the intended use. His vision for YorLabs could provide technology to substantially change this situation.

“IC and EP imaging appear to be an afterthought with different manufacturers for transducers and the system, resulting in no standard platform,” said Roy. “Current labs are disjointed. We believe we will be able to offer the best business model to address complete customer issues, allowing the healthcare provider to purchase disposables without a capital expenditure outlay. We are pleased to have such a strong executive team to lead these efforts.”
