Hingham, MA – Thursday, September 29, 2022 –Wellness Workdays, a leading provider of workplace wellness programs, has been selected by Casco Bay Steel to implement a comprehensive well-being program for the company’s employees. The initiative includes health promotion activities for employees; fun, inspiring wellness events; and an onsite health coach who provides one-on-one coaching and engages employees in educational and wellness activities.

“Similar to others in the industry, our employees are busy and don’t always take the time to make their health a priority. We knew it would be challenging for a wellness provider to build trust with our workforce and implement well-being initiatives that engage employees in each of our three locations,” said Justin Tait, Treasurer at Casco Bay Steel. “We selected Wellness Workdays because of their track record of success working with employees in the construction and manufacturing industries. We were confident they could deliver a customized wellness solution that our employees would embrace.”

Wellness Workdays’ onsite health coach is committed to earning the trust of Casco Bay Steel employees and has undergone extensive training in employee outreach, motivational interviewing, and other techniques to help overcome any resistance to coaching. She ensures each employee’s health journey starts wherever they currently are and is customized to their individual needs, challenges, and goals. One-on-one coaching is available to employees on topics ranging from nutrition, physical activity and workout selection to postural alignment, resilience and chronic disease management. A consistent onsite presence at each location, positivity, and a non-judgmental approach has resulted in strong participation. The program also includes monthly health promotion programs on various educational topics, nutritious food giveaways and raffle prizes.

“We are excited to partner with Casco Bay Steel to create a unique employee benefit that is tailored to the specific health needs of their workforce,” said Debra Wein, CEO of Wellness Workdays. “Our goal is to develop a culture of wellness and foster a supportive, engaging environment for employees as they focus on their personalized areas of well-being.”
