Wellness Workdays, a leading provider of workplace wellness programs, announces a Certified Health and Wellness Coach certification. The certification is for health professionals looking to become a leading health and wellness coach who can facilitate optimal behavior change and empower clients to self-discover healthy lifestyles and approaches.

“For over 25 years, our organization has trained hundreds of health coaches to thrive in all industries and settings. We saw a need for a comprehensive, evidence-based certification that focuses on achieving positive mental health outcomes for participants, their families, and their employers,” said Debra Wein, Founder and CEO of Wellness Workdays. “We are excited to offer this program as the need for ways to manage stress, anxiety and burnout continues to grow in employee populations.”

The Certified Health and Wellness Coach Program is self-paced and features on-demand video training, discussion forums, activities, resources, and mock session reviews with seasoned coaches. Topics include behavior change theories and communication skills, related to emotional health and resilience, as well as supporting and enhancing motivation, current health education, and more.

“This program is unique because it takes the foundational evidence behind behavior change and pairs it with a total well-being approach,” said Chris Guild, Director of Training and Client Accounts of OMC Wellness, a Wellness Workdays Company. “Between the hands-on practice with live feedback and extensive health education, candidates will come away from this certification with all the tools they need to be a confident and successful Health and Wellness Coach in any setting or population.”
