Wellbeing ‘energy practice’, Access Bars, holds live online session to combat isolation blues

With social distancing measures still being enforced in many parts of the world, many people are finding they are unable to partake in their usual wellbeing and personal development practices.

In fact, an early draft of a study by researchers at The University of Manchester and Swansea University has shown that social distancing has had severely negative results on the mental health of the UK population, and American experts have spoken out to confirm they expect the situation to be the same in the US.

Researcher Simon Williams said the study found “…emotional ‘losses,’ such as a loss of self-worth, loss of motivation and a loss of meaning in daily life.”

In an effort to make mental wellbeing practices available to those ready and willing to receive it, Access Bars® will be running an online Bars session with facilitator, author and speaker Brendon Watt on July 9, with thousands of virtual attendees expected to join via Zoom.

“We know that this ‘subtle energy’ practice has the ability to completely transform a person’s state of mind, and we want to make it easily accessible for those looking for relief during this time. Normally, these sessions are conducted in person by a trained facilitator, but in light of the COVID-19 crisis, we have shifted to make it possible to still receive the benefits of the practice online,” says Brendon Watt.

Access Bars® is a set of 32 points on the head which, when lightly touched, stimulate positive change in the brain, body and psyche. Developed thirty years ago by speaker and consciousness pioneer, Gary Douglas, this subtle energy practice has been rapidly gaining popularity with celebrities, elite athletes and health-seekers all over the world, due to its accessibility and gentle approach.

According to Dr. Terrie Hope PhD, DNM, CFMW, in a study published in the Journal of Energy Psychology: Theory, Research, and Treatment in November 2017, the results of one 90-minute Access Bars® session indicated a significant decrease in the severity of depression and anxiety.

Tickets for the online class are available via the Access Consciousness website (http://www.accessconsciousness.com).
