WEGO Health this week announced that Julie Croner, vice president of the company’s Patient Leader Network, has been recognized by MM&M as one of the most influential leaders under the age of 40 in the pharma and healthcare marketing sectors.
MM&M today released its first-ever “40 Under 40” list, featuring 40 inspiring leaders who early in their careers have shown great promise, talent and creativity in the pharma and healthcare marketing industries. Croner joins a class of inductees from a variety of employers, ranging from pharma, biotech companies and agencies to device manufacturers, analytics firms and health media.
“MM&M has come across so many young people who are poised to lead medical marketing for the next few decades,” said Steve Madden, MM&M General Manager and Editor-in-Chief. “40 Under 40 marks our first, but certainly not last, effort to shine a light on the industry’s abundance of inspiring young talent.”
Croner joined WEGO Health in 2016 as Patient Leader Network Director after working with the company on a freelance basis as a patient influencer in the autoimmune community. Her work in patient advocacy began following her diagnosis and treatment for psoriatic arthritis, which led her to start a blog and become a certified holistic health coach.
“Between my professional background and my health experience, I know that flipping the script and changing our system for the better is what I was born to do,” Croner said. “The patient voice deserves to be heard and healthcare needs to be working with patient leaders to make real change. I’m so excited to be part of the movement and a small driver in the change that is occurring.”
The MM&M inductees will be celebrated at an awards reception in New York City on the night of May 12. For more information on the 40 Under 40 list and recipients, please visit https://www.mmm-online.com/home/channel/mmm-reveals-its-inaugural-class-of-40-under-40-honorees/.
