Venture Construction Group of Florida Sponsors Palm Beach Walk to Defeat ALS®

Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL) sponsored the Palm Beach Walk to Defeat ALS® on Nov. 13. The virtual walk was held throughout Palm Beach county in neighborhoods, parks and beaches. Participants had the option to tune in during their walk on ALS radio on the app, available for download on Apple and Android devices. The virtual event raised $34,240, nearly 26% of its $130,000 goal. The event is still accepting donations.

“We are committed to increasing awareness of ALS and raising money for a cure. We’re so grateful for the amazing work that the ALS Association and Florida Chapter are doing for so many,” said Stephen Shanton, CEO and president of Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL).

The Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity for communities around the country to show their support for ALS and to bring awareness to the urgency in finding a cure. With more than 1,300 people in Florida alone suffering from ALS, donations received from the statewide fundraisers directly impact the local community and help fund the care and research that goes into finding a cure.
