Vantis Institute (Vantis) Files Innovative Patent for Aesthetic Medical Treatment

Vantis Institute Announces the Filing of a Provisional Patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a New Treatment Procedure that Deposits a Combination of Aesthetic and Therapeutic Agents into the Skin.

Innovation often emerges from unlikely places, and Newport Beach start-up Vantis Institute is making their presence in the medical aesthetics industry known.

The $11.1 billion dollar US hair loss market was disrupted when Vantis launched its non-surgical hair-loss solution in September 2019, called Vantis Follicle Replication (VFR™). Patient acceptance and preference for minimally-invasive and non-invasive cosmetic procedures are driving growth factors in medical aesthetics.

Clinical Director and Vantis Co-founder Jessica Oslo, an 11-year veteran of the plastic surgery industry, perfected a paramedical micro-pigmentation technique that aesthetically replicates biological hair follicles. This non-invasive procedure offers men and women immediate results for the appearance of a thicker, fuller head of hair without surgery or downtime.

Ms. Oslo previously developed another non-surgical technique known as the Voslo™ method, to conceal scars, recreate nipples and areolas, and visually erase stretch marks.

“We couldn’t have experienced the success we had with our first patent application without the extraordinary help from our legal team at Rutan & Tucker,” said Ms. Oslo. “We’ve grown at a tremendous pace when it comes to establishing our name in the medical aesthetics space, but it was all thanks to the supportive environment in Orange County (OC) for innovative entrepreneurs. Community leaders and companies in our space have laid the groundwork for our success.”

“OC has long been recognized as a global leader in ophthalmology; Octane is now focused on replicating that success in medical aesthetics. The number of new companies with high-quality products and teams, such as Vantis Institute, is required to support the acceleration of this strategy,” said Bill Carpou, CEO of Octane. “OC is the place to start and grow a medical aesthetics company with its proven sources of capital and expertise.”

The aggressive pace Vantis has established isn’t slowing down. The company expects to announce five new locations within the next fifteen months, and is launching a training academy to teach Vantis Follicle Replication™ as well as the Voslo™ method beginning in Spring 2020.
