Unity Consortium Is Awarded Candid’s 2023 Platinum Seal Of Transparency

This achievement recognizes Unity’s fiscal discipline, governance, and transparent operations in our work to improve adolescent and young adult vaccination to support lifelong health.

Unity® Consortium has announced that it has received the 2023 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, the highest-level designation awarded to nonprofit organizations, illustrating responsible fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency. Previously known as the Guidestar Platinum Seal of Transparency, the prestigious designation is provided by Candid, a 501(c)3 organization that provides the world’s most comprehensive data and information about nonprofit organizations and the social sector.

“This achievement recognizes Unity’s fiscal discipline, governance, and transparent operations in our work to improve adolescent and young adult vaccination to support lifelong health,” said Unity Consortium President Judy Klein. “This designation means partners, donors, and supporters can have confidence that Unity is worthy of their support and generosity.”

Established in 2014, Unity focuses on adolescent immunization platforms by engaging with adolescents, parents, and healthcare providers to address significant gaps in adolescent and young adult preventive health. By providing action-oriented leadership, innovation, and education for adolescents and young adults, Unity has established immunization as a central component of preventive health and investment in lifelong health. Unity Consortium seeks to engage parents, adolescents, and young adults to embrace the value of immunization by developing healthcare professionals as advocates that make strong recommendations for all nationally recommended vaccines and ensuring easy access to and timely delivery of all recommended vaccines.

Unity is also the founder of Adolescent Immunization Action Week, which aims to reach adolescents, their parents, and physicians to encourage adolescents and young adults to catch up on missed or delayed vaccines. Adolescent Immunization Action Week takes place in the first week of April.
