October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and marks 7 months from the first major closings across the United States due to the Coronavirus. In fact, many states are currently seeing spikes in new cases. All of America, and the world, has been impacted by COVID-19, causing fear and financial stress for many, especially for cancer patients. In response to the pandemic, United Breast Cancer Foundation launched their COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program this Spring and the program remains open. UBCF invites breast cancer patients to apply for emergency aid to make sheltering at home more comfortable and a little easier.
Male and female breast cancer patients in active treatment are invited to apply to the program. Recipients receive a variety of online gifts to help with expenses and stress relief. Awards include an Amazon Gift Card, a 60 day free trial to Daily Burn, access to ebooks and streaming movies as well as a lifetime subscription to the app, Elly. Daily Burn offers over 1,000 different daily workouts. Elly is the first empathetic audio companion that aims to improve cancer patients overall wellbeing.
