On-demand medicine is a dynamic, ever-changing industry that raises the bar to meet evolving patient demands. To further advance industry innovation and learning, the Urgent Care Association (UCA) and College of Urgent Care Medicine (CUCM) redesigned their annual event to provide more meaningful connections and unique educational resources for members and partners. The UCA2020 Convention will deliver something (almost) completely different to participants, offering a thought-provoking experience and ground-breaking tools to propel the industry into the next decade. Registration is now open for UCA2020, which will take place May 3-6 at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.
“On-demand medicine doesn’t stand still – whether you are treating patients, growing a team or building a business – you have to think ahead so you can stay ahead,” said Laurel Stoimenoff, CEO of UCA. “Our new approach to the annual convention will provide industry leaders with the resources to live in two places at once: now and next, improving current practices while innovating for the future.”
At UCA2020, attendees will explore new ways to optimize patient care and strategies to take practice management to the next level. Experts will introduce the latest tools and best practices for staying nimble and adaptive through engaging discussions and hands-on activities.
“To be successful, our leaders must be creative, open-minded, innovative, connected and brave in their decisions,” said Richard Park, MD, UCA board president, vice chairman for the board of directors at CityMD. “At UCA2020, we will encourage leaders to think outside-the-box and challenge the status quo as they push the industry forward.”
UCA developed an educational agenda to introduce new topics, experts and activities, while ensuring more time throughout the event for valuable networking. In addition, the exhibit hall will provide opportunities for participants to learn about and from various industry resources.
Sessions at the event will cover a wide array of topics including the end-to-end patient experience, artificial intelligence, creating patient loyalty, engaging providers and clinical updates nuanced to the on-demand environment. Participants also will have the chance to ask accreditation questions in a hands-on workshop, and brainstorm new ideas at an industry ‘hack-a-thon’.
Several keynote speakers will share insights on the latest industry trends:
- Disrupting Your Status Quo with Kai Kight
- Reframing Healthcare with Zeev Neuwirth, MD, and Marcus Osborne
- Deploying Emerging Technologies Strategically with Nathan Bays, Richard Roth and Peter Fleischut, MD
“Our rapidly evolving industry deserves an evolved approach at meeting, learning and networking,” said Stoimenoff. “We spoke with our members and partners to understand what kind of experience they want and then broke down and rebuilt our Convention with forward-focused content and more exciting ways to connect with and learn from one another.”
