Recently, the New York Academy of Medicine hosted Dr. Mark Zoland for an informative lecture at the conference “Hip Preservation- 20 years experience.” As a specialist in this area, he helped to provide insight and a diagnostic algorithm for medical professionals regarding the causes and treatment of groin and pelvic pain after hip surgery.
Dr. Zoland is a general surgeon who offers an unparalleled understanding of topics such as hernia repair, groin pain, pelvic pain and sports-related groin/pelvic injuries. By focusing specifically on this area of the body, he straddles many surgical and medical disciplines and is able to offer a unique perspective on this difficult topic. Dr. Mark Zoland graduated from Columbia University and earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. He has been board certified and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2001.
