She graduated from the prominent honors combined Accelerated BA/DDS Degree program at New York University College of Arts and Sciences and New York University College of Dentistry.

The NYC orthodontist completed her general practice residency program at Staten Island University Hospital Center, working with acclaimed specialists in oral surgery. Following her residency, Dr. Bukholts practiced as a general dentist in New York City until completing her specialist orthodontics training.
