Author and Infectious Disease Doctor David Graham publishes book: ‘From Killer to Common Cold’

Too often, people don’t tell you what to expect from Covid-19. What is next? Where do we go from here? What if we start by understanding what a virus wants and finish by understanding the end-game of Covid-19: it will become another common cold coronavirus.

“Too often, people don’t tell you what to expect from Covid-19. What is next? Where do we go from here? What if we start by understanding what a virus wants and finish by understanding the end-game of Covid-19: it will become another common cold coronavirus,” says Author and Infectious Disease Doctor David Graham. “I predict it will be two to five years before the transitional phase ends and Covid-19 is merely a cause of the common cold.”

Dr. David Graham is a practicing board certified infectious diseases physician in Billings, Montana. He’s also a Covid-19 business consultant and expert witness, a retirement planner for physicians, a financial and medical blogger at FiPhysician, a published author, a husband and a father of three young kids. His book, From Killer to Common Cold: Herd Protection and the Transitional Phase of Covid-19 launched worldwide October, 2020 and is available in paperback and eBook versions via Amazon Prime. The eBook version is also available via Barnes & Noble for Nook and Kobo.

Throughout the short, 111-page book, Dr. Graham outlines his theory on the destiny of SARS-CoV-2 in an easy-to-understand way.

“I believe that the destiny of SARS-CoV-2 is already written. With or without a vaccine, with or without an effective treatment, with or without expected technological advances, we are destined to interact with this virus forever. SARS-CoV-2 is not eradicable and will become endemic,” says Dr. Graham. ”There are already four coronaviruses that are endemic and cause the common cold. SARS-CoV-2 will become the fifth endemic human coronavirus. The virus that causes COVID-19 will become another common cold.”

The book also discusses herd immunity vs. herd protection and allows the reader to understand the many factors in their community that affect the timeline of the virus reaching its end-game and transitioning into a common cold.

“This virus has changed the world. It’s made it difficult to visualize our life and our travel plans over the next several years,” says stay at home mom + lifestyle TV host Dianne Parker. “Dr. Graham’s book has given us a different view to consider. It has helped our family put everything into perspective. As a huge bonus, I get to be the smart mom who teaches my kids a lesson about how viruses work.”

“From Killer to Common Cold is a wonderful read. It is honest and refreshing. It answers a lot of my questions. I’ve found that health experts have been afraid at times to deliver the honest goods on the virus, vaccines and the pandemic in general. Dr. Graham’s book also gives us hope that we can and will get ‘to the other side’,” says Dale Roberts, an advocate for low fee index investing.

“The question on everyone’s mind right now is how and when does this end? As for when, Dr. Graham suggests it will be two to five years before things return to a pre-pandemic level of activity. But even then perhaps life will seem very different and foreign to us today, (but) when it comes to humanity versus the virus, Dr. Graham suggests we lay our money down on humanity overcoming this new obstacle and flourishing again,” says Anesthesiologist and host of The Paradocs Podcast Dr. Eric Larson.

“Dr. Graham’s infectious disease expertise paired with his ability to explain complex medical information to the average reader shines in this book. It’s a phenomenal read and I highly recommend this,” says Billings, Montana Physician Dr. Tom James.
