The Personal Agility System has taken it to a new level. The coaching questions led me to really look at how I spend my time and whether I am honoring what really matters to me.

The Personal Agility Institute has reimagined “agility” to help people get more out of life. Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban have long been applied in business to improve effectiveness and productivity in software development. The Personal Agility System enables people to take control of their lives, say no when it counts, achieve important goals, and be the person they want to be.

Today the Personal Agility Institute (PAI) announces the expansion of its coaching program to include 8 leading coaches and trainers from around the world to share and spread this simple approach to improving people’s lives.

About the Agile Movement

The Agile movement was founded in 2001 by 17 leading software developers who were uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others to do the same. The Agile Manifesto they wrote became a movement for rethinking the values, principles and practices around everything from developing software, teaching children in schools, launching new products and even leading organizations.

Today, Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban are widely applied in business to improve effectiveness and productivity in software development and applications beyond IT. Hardly any major companies are not involved in an Agile transformation at some level.

About the Personal Agility System

The Personal Agility System is a simple coaching framework to help people figure out what really matters and use their time accordingly. Unlike other frameworks, it is not a process to follow but a collection of questions to ask yourself. These questions help you connect what you do with who you want to be or what you want to accomplish. The same framework used with others enables you to build alignment around a common purpose or goal.

“I have been an Agilist for 14 years and have been applying Agile in my personal life for a long time. The Personal Agility System has taken it to a new level. The coaching questions led me to really look at how I spend my time and whether I am honoring what really matters to me,” says Lyssa Adkins, Author of Coaching Agile Teams and co-founder of the Agile Coaching Institute.

A practitioner of the Personal Agility System knows what really matters, can focus their use of time accordingly, and can help people around them align around what’s important. The PAI has recognized Practitioners (PARPs) from throughout the USA as well as Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Italy, India, Canada, and Sri Lanka who have demonstrated that they are using Personal Agility to guide their lives effectively.

“Personal Agility is an essential skill in any domain, be it in business, education, the community or at home. It’s not until people start to experience personal transformation in their own lives that they’ll really start to get what this is.” – John Badgley, Agility Systems Coach.

About the PAI Recognition Program

Personal Agility Recognized Ambassadors (PARA) are senior coaches and trainers who are already recognized experts in their field and have embraced the Personal Agility System for their own work. PARAs will be sharing and building the knowledge to serve humanity beyond the traditional Agile community.
