The Magic Weighted Blanket Giving Away Free Cloth Face Masks During Coronavirus Pandemic

“So we decided to not only make our Magic Weighted Blanket more affordable, but we also decided to give the masks away for free.”

The Magic Weighted Blanket, the first weighted blanket manufacturer going back to 1998, is giving away two free face masks with the purchase of every Magic Weighted Blanket.

According to the inventor of the weighted blanket and Magic Weighted Blanket president, Keith Zivalich, “Once the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommended that all Americans wear basic cloth masks in public, we knew there would be a high demand for every American to obtain a face mask. Since we make our weighted blankets in the United States, it was an easy step to add making face masks as well. We noticed that other weighted blanket companies were selling face masks. This didn’t seem right to us. Many people are struggling financially right now, and we didn’t want to add to their burden. So we decided to not only make our Magic Weighted Blanket more affordable, but we also decided to give the masks away for free.”

Made with a cotton inner liner and a cotton outer liner, these face masks are reusable. It is highly suggested to wash face masks separately from your other laundry if you can; use the hottest water settings available and regular detergent. Using bleach is not recommended.

It is also important to be aware that while cloth face masks can be effective reminders to others to maintain social distancing, and to help deter face touching, these face masks are not medical-grade and will not prevent airborne viruses from passing through the mask. They are not for use by persons affected with Covid-19 or medical personnel.

The Magic Weighted Blanket is bringing much needed calm and comfort to many thousands of Americans as they adapt to the county’s “Safer At Home” policy. According to Magic Weighted Blanket president Zivalich, “Our goal is to provide an affordable weighted blanket to help ease the anxiety caused by this pandemic while we are holed up at home, and then to provide a little peace of mind by wearing our free face masks when circumstances require that we go out in public.”
