Davis Phinney and Connie Carpenter Phinney will help us unpack what we learned and open the floor for questions. At the end, we’ll offer some ideas for “rewirement” activities to help you create new happiness habits, boost your mood, and improve your overall well-being.

The Davis Phinney Foundation Announces Webinar with Renowned Professor of Pyschology Dr. Laurie Santos
Louisville,·Colo. — On Nov. 2, the Davis Phinney Foundation will join with Dr. Laurie Santos, Professor of Psychology and Head of Silliman College at Yale University, for a highly informative webinar: “Parkinson’s and the Good Life.” The webinar will be held on Monday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. MT, 3 p.m. ET.
As an organization focused on fitness, wellness and every aspect of living well with Parkinson’s we are delighted to talk in detail about “the good life” with one of the premier experts in the country on this topic.
Register for this free webinar here.
In Spring 2018, Dr. Laurie Santos taught “Psychology and the Good Life” for the first time at Yale. She created this course because she was worried about the levels of student depression, anxiety, and stress she was seeing as a Professor and Head of College. It became the most popular class ever taught at Yale.
During the first half of this webinar, Dr. Laurie Santos will discuss what new results in psychological science teach us about:
- How to be happier
- How to feel less stressed
- How to flourish more no matter your situation
During the second half of the webinar, Davis Phinney and Connie Carpenter Phinney will help us unpack what we learned and open the floor for questions. At the end, we’ll offer some ideas for “rewirement” activities to help you create new happiness habits, boost your mood, and improve your overall well-being.
To provide more resources to our treasured clientele and their supporters, past webinar recordings are available as well. More online resources, including a blog, podcasts, an exercise essentials video, worksheets, and much more are available here.
The Davis Phinney Foundation was founded by Olympic cyclist Davis Phinney in 2004 to help people with Parkinson’s live well today. The organization’s focus is to provide programs, early stage research, and resources that offer inspiration, information and tools that enable people living with Parkinson’s to take action that can immediately improve their quality of life. Parkinson’s is the No. 2 neurodegenerative disease – second to Alzheimer’s – and affects more than 1 million people in the United States. The Foundation’s work impacts hundreds of thousands of individuals and families each year.
