The TAWANI Foundation, TAWANI Enterprises’ philanthropic organization that provides support in the areas of arts and culture, historic preservation, health and wellness, LGBTQ and human rights, education, and environmental initiatives, has been recognized as a Top Funder of Non-Discrimination Protections for LGBTQ Issues from 2016-2017 by Funders for LGBTQ Issues.
Funders for LGBTQ Issues is a network of more than 75 foundations, corporations, and funding institutions that collectively award more than $1 billion annually including approximately $100 million specifically devoted to LGBTQ issues. They produce an annual tracking report and other special reports to monitor the character of LGBTQ funding and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
TAWANI Foundation was highlighted as number nine on the list with donations totaling $500,000.
