Sunshine Coast Health Centre (https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/), a best-in-class Centre in British Columbia for drug rehab, alcohol treatment, trauma and PTSD therapy and other issues, is proud to announce a property purchase as part of its 2020 expansion from treatment for men only to treatment for women as well. The Centre has purchased property next to its existing women’s residences for space to do group activities, recreation such as digital entertainment, and the enjoyment of the outdoors. The purchased building is currently being renovated and plans are for it to be ready for usage in early 2020.
“Our current expansion from men-only to treatment options for women is going very well,” explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. “Obviously, our non-12 step methodology for treating alcohol, drugs, and/or trauma is relevant regardless of one’s gender. By purchasing this additional property, we’re adding to what we can offer in our best-in-class addictions and mental health programs for women.”

Here is background on this release. Before now, Sunshine Coast Health Centre has established a reputation as a best-in-class treatment program for drugs, alcohol, and trauma / PTSD for men only. In 2019, however, the Centre began expanding its program offerings to include programming for women. The current announcement of a new property purchase shows the Centre’s commitment to offering best-in-class drug rehab and alcohol treatment program options for women in Canada. For these reasons, Sunshine Coast Health Centre is proud to announce further expansions of its rehab programs for women.
ABOUT SUNSHINE COAST HEALTH CENTRE
Sunshine Coast Health Centre is a 47-bed drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility for men, with 8 private residences for women, that officially opened on the 15th of March 2004. The Centre has a philosophy of care that goes beyond just addiction to include personal transformation based on three key therapeutic principles: interpersonal relatedness, self definition (autonomy & competence), and intrinsic motivation. The Centre offers both drug rehabilitation and alcohol treatment near Vancouver, BC, but serving patients across Canada, particularly British Columbia and Alberta and cities such as Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer.
