Sunshine Behavioral Health, a family of drug and alcohol rehab centers, announced that Mendi Bitner is its new Vice-President of Human Resources.

“I’m excited to work with a growing company,” Ms. Bitner said. She’s worked with companies as small (when she started) as three employees and for others as large as 7,000.

“As our growth plans continue to develop, we accepted the opportunity to add a seasoned HR professional,” said Chad Daugherty, CEO of Sunshine Behavioral Health. She brings more than 20 years in HR experience across the United States and in France, primarily in healthcare, including behavioral health.

One task she will have is building training programs at Sunshine so employees can receive planning and career training and development to build a career and grow with the company.

The Dayton, Ohio native has a bachelor’s in business from Wright State University and a master’s in HR from the University of Dayton. She also has certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and in Cultural Diversity and Inclusion.

Bitner, who married in May, lives in Laguna Beach with her husband and two huskies. She also has a daughter in Ohio and a son in Chicago.
