Summit BHC opens new addiction treatment center in Pennsylvania

Summit BHC (“Summit” or “the Company”), a leading national provider of addiction treatment and behavioral health services, today announced the opening of French Creek Recovery Center, a new addiction recovery center in northwestern Pennsylvania. Located in Meadville, just 40 miles south of Erie and 90 miles north of Pittsburgh, French Creek is Summit’s fourth treatment center in Pennsylvania and the first new opening in 2020. It joins Summit’s 20 other addiction treatment and behavioral health centers across the country.

“The opening of French Creek allows us to continue providing quality care to the residents of Pennsylvania,” says Jon O’Shaughnessy, CEO of Summit. “Our mission is to provide effective addiction treatment to as many people as we can serve, and French Creek allows us to continue that mission.”

“French Creek will offer detox, residential, and continuing care services to our clients,” says David Brooks, CEO of French Creek. “Many of our staff members are from the greater Crawford County area, and we welcome the opportunity to improve the lives and the community that we live in.”

After months of renovations to the Wesbury Hillside Home, the 50-bed facility opened to clients on September 28, 2020.
