“Death will be a part of everyone’s journey at some point,” said Grant “My hope is not to teach people how to grieve, but to remind them of the joy in living. That is the best legacy we can offer.”

Losing a loved one is often a part of everyone’s journey. Author Julie Grant is no exception after the loss of her husband, John.

In her book “Streams of Light from a Broken Heart,” Grant narrates her story about experiencing the abrupt death of a loved one and how faith in God was the only source of light that pierced the darkness.

“As a nurse who experiences loss frequently in a professional capacity, nothing could prepare me for the emotional toll of the loss of my husband,” said Grant “However, grieving, like living, is a process largely determined by the choices made on the journey.”

Grant hopes to encourage others to seek the spiritual support of God by following along with her journey of healing from a great loss.
