Spartan Bioscience today announced it has officially re-submitted its rapid, accurate, and portable COVID-19 test for Health Canada review. This is the final step in Canada’s regulatory process. Once approved, Spartan will immediately begin shipping our made-in-Canada COVID-19 tests to our existing commercial and government partners.

Spartan’s application to Health Canada includes results from the required clinical studies, where Spartan’s rapid on-site test was compared to one of the most sensitive lab-based COVID-19 tests on the market today. The clinical studies were successfully completed in Canada and the U.S.

Slowing COVID-19 and re-opening the economy requires more testing, and Spartan is proud to be partnering with the federal and provincial governments in Canada to make their tests widely available to Canadians. Spartan’s COVID-19 Test is made by Canadians, for Canadians.

Spartan will continue to provide updates as the tests are approved and distributed across Canada.
