Trent Arkema will transition into his new role with SmartBox on September 14, 2020. He is the first COO and the first C-level hire in the company. Adding this position will enable Colin Receveur, SmartBox’s founder and CEO, to continue driving the innovation and revenue teams while allowing Arkema to focus on the client experience and operations.
“SmartBox has scaled to the level that our leadership needs to scale up too,” said Receveur. “This transition continues the work we’ve been doing over the past three years to allow me to focus solely on the demand gen and sales end, driving future growth and new opportunities for SmartBox.”
Arkema will now be heading up client success, client marketing, content, video, operations, and project management. Legal, finance, and sales and demand generation will continue to report to Receveur.
Arkema’s extensive marketing experience and overall industry knowledge have made him well qualified for the new position.
“My experience with both the client and marketing side gives me the ability to see things from a different angle and approach them with a different lens,” Arkema said. “I believe my history of successfully leading new offices and teams of all sizes as well as exceeding revenue targets has positioned me to succeed as COO. I also have a track record of seeing opportunities in different departments and helping guide plans to capitalize on those opportunities.”
As COO, Trent will look to increase the efficiencies and processes of the fulfillment side to deliver better value to SmartBox clients. In addition to collaborating with the CEO to support the company’s long-term vision, he will oversee all operations and VPs, assist the controller and CFO with financial projections and analyses, manage budgeting and resource allocation to align with SmartBox’s revenue and profit margin goals, and help create products that allow SmartBox dentists to achieve and exceed their goals. He will also play a role in establishing policies that promote the company culture and vision.
SmartBox will be looking to fill Arkema’s current position in 2021.
