In his career, Dr. Rokhsar has been involved in the development of several laser systems and has conducted pivotal research projects to develop protocols for other laser systems.

Dr. Cameron K. Rokhsar, M.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.A.C.S., an internationally renowned laser surgeon, is a double Board Certified dermatologist, dermatologic mohs surgeon, and fellowship-trained cosmetic and laser surgeon in private practice in Manhattan and Long Island. He practices cosmetic and general dermatology with a particular focus on laser and other nonsurgical treatments, aesthetic enhancements with fillers, skin cancer, and its treatment through Mohs Micrographic Surgery, minimally invasive liposuction, and the treatment of acne and acne scars. Dr. Rokhsar is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he teaches the cosmetic dermatology clinic.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University and attended medical school at The New York University School of Medicine, where he received his doctorate of medicine. After his internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, he completed his dermatology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he was honored for his teaching and leadership skills as Chief Resident. In addition, Dr. Rokhsar received fellowship training in cosmetic, laser, and dermatologic surgery in San Diego, California.

In his career, Dr. Rokhsar has been involved in the development of several laser systems and has conducted pivotal research projects to develop protocols for other laser systems. In particular, Dr. Rokhsar was involved in the development of the Fraxel laser technology, having worked with the prototype device for about a year in 2003. Dr. Rokhsar has taught more physicians in the United States and worldwide about using Fraxel for fractional resurfacing than any other physician. Most protocols are derived from his original research on the Fraxel device.

Dr. Rokhsar is also credited with the invention of the nonsurgical nose job, which he introduced this procedure to the world in Good Morning America. Dr. Rokhsar has since taught his techniques doing the nonsurgical nose job to many physicians in the United States and around the world. Dr. Rokhsar also published the first use of filler in nose contouring. Besides the nose, Dr. Rokhsar has particular expertise in the use of fillers in other anatomically difficult areas, such as the eyelids (nonsurgical eyelift) and the chin (nonsurgical chin augmentation).

Dr. Rokhsar is a frequent commentator on topics related to dermatology on various television shows and news segments, including the Today Show, Good Morning America, the Rachel Ray Show, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and Fox News. He has been selected by his peers for the following accolades: Castle and Connolly Top Doctors (for ten consecutive years, 2012-2022), Connolly Top Cosmetic Doctors, and US News and World Report Top Doctors. Dr. Rokhsar has also been recognized by New York Magazine as a top cosmetic dermatologist for many years.
