Singular Hearing Inc., a subsidiary of Singular Software and creator of HeardThat, announced today it is participating in the CES 2021 all-digital experience. The creators of HeardThat will be available to discuss the technology behind the app and provide demonstrations January 11-14, 2021 on Singular Hearing’s virtual exhibit .
Noisy environments make it hard for people, especially those with hearing loss, to hold conversations. HeardThat’s software uses AI and machine learning algorithms to separate speech from noise to deliver enhanced voice audio while minimizing background noise. Unlike other hearing assistive apps, HeardThat’s software cleanly separates speech from noise, rather than just filtering sounds.
HeardThat is available for Android and iPhone, free for a limited time, and works by connecting to earphones or hearing aids directly or via Bluetooth. As software, updates are continuously made available to users as they become available.
“We set out to create an easy-to-use product to improve holding conversations in noisy environments like restaurants, shops and patios,” said Singular Hearing CEO Dr. Bruce Sharpe. “Rather than create yet another small wearable for people to bring along, we wanted our solutions to work in conjunction with what people already have – smartphones. We’re very excited to bring HeardThat to CES 2021.”
