Often people know the best what they need, they just don’t often have access or the ability to talk about it without a guide. So we can be that guide.

Amber Bedell, the new owner of Singing Trees Recovery Center, is excited to announce that this week marks the official reopening of the Garberville, California facility.
After many members of the community were saddened by the news of Singing Trees Recovery Center shutting down last November after more than 30 years in business, Amber Bedell reached out to the owners about the possibility of selling the space to someone interested in relaunching the recovery facility. The previous owners were thrilled with Amber’s plan to reopen and reinvigorate the recovery center.
After purchasing the facility, Amber Bedell has been upgrading the center with new floors, fresh paint, and new furniture. Amber Bedell has also added a number of new staff members. Those who enter the Singing Trees Recovery Center will now have access to onsite counselors, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and substance abuse counselors. This expands on the previous model, which only provided substance abuse counselors.
Though there will be many of the same services offered at Singing Trees, Bedell notes the center is not a strictly 12-Step model, like NA or AA and will offer “a variety of modalities.” The center will still offer 12-Step materials and utilize some of those approaches, Bedell said, but will take bits from other recovery models and tailor a treatment plan to the individual. Additional treatment modalities available include: SMART recovery, Harm Reduction and brain based interventions designed to re-wire the reward pathway’s created by addition. Singing Tree’s under the umbrella of Pure Solution Family Services, Inc, owned by Amber Bedell is a community based program, with a focus on meeting each individual where they are. We use a holistic approach for treatment planning and aim to reduce the stigma associated with addiction by uncovering the trauma experiences, with a spirit of compassion.
“It’s just not a one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter approach — we believe in co-creation and we believe in empowering people,” explains Amber Bedell.
Bedell continued, “Often people know the best what they need, they just don’t often have access or the ability to talk about it without a guide. So we can be that guide.”
Singing Trees Recovery Center officially reopens this week.
