Siebenlist Architects Latest Project Marks its 100th Design

He designed the perfect solution for us, creating a space using existing space on our church campus, something I could not have imagined coming together.

Siebenlist Architects, a design and construction management firm specializing in churches with over 100 projects completed in the United States, announced today that its campus expansion at Bethel Church in Temple, Texas marks its 25th year of success.

The new sanctuary and campus expansion was a part of the master plan Siebenlist Architects created to accommodate a growing, dynamic congregation at Bethel Church. “We knew we needed a bigger space, but we weren’t exactly sure how to achieve it,” said Elwyn Johnston, Pastor of Bethel Church. “Then I met Buddy Siebenlist, of Siebenlist Architects whose reputation for designing beautiful churches throughout Texas and the Bible Belt is widely known and respected among the clergy. He designed the perfect solution for us, creating a space using existing space on our church campus, something I could not have imagined coming together. But it came together wonderfully, and I and everyone at Bethel are very excited about our new sanctuary.”

For Siebenlist Architects, the Bethel Church sanctuary project comes after 25 years of practice. The firm has been designing and planning an array of projects, including new church structures and master plans, expanding the spaces of existing churches, renovating churches, and redesigning and updating churches. In addition to 61 architectural projects Siebenlist Architects has completed in Texas alone, the firm has also completed over 50 other church projects across the Bible Belt, including Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Kansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma and other locations. Currently, Siebenlist Architects manages the construction of a 60,000 square foot church for the Tabernacle of Glory in North Miami, one of the largest in South Florida.

“Reflecting over the 25 years in business, Siebenlist Architects has been very pleased that we’ve been responsible for designing so many of this region’s churches, as well as schools, day cares, senior care housing, and other structures,” said Buddy Siebenlist.

He said the Bethel Church project is an example of what he enjoys about church architecture. It allows him the unique opportunity to collaborate with church leaders who envision creating beautifully, welcoming spaces for their communities and their church families to worship and fellowship.”

“We’re very thrilled with the results of the expansion project,” said Johnston, “Our church needed more room to accommodate our growing congregation for Sunday fellowship and the fellowship we engage in throughout the week, and we received it.”
