SAC Health was named as one of the first-ever recipients of the Living the Mission INSPIRE Award at IEHP’s Mission Conference on Friday, May 6, 2022 in Rancho Cucamonga. The INSPIRE Award honors providers, community organizations and partners for their commitment to the health plan’s mission to “heal and inspire the human spirit.”
This year’s awards recognized SAC Health for their tireless support and service to residents in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties along with Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County, for their dedication to eliminating effects of poverty.
The INSPIRE Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate compassion to the communities they serve, invest time and energy with acts of service, inspire and motivate others to serve and be their best, and act as servant-leaders that others follow and emulate.
SAC Health is honored to receive this award, especially at a time when the world is just recovering from a global pandemic that has deeply affected local communities—challenging health care providers like never before. SAC Health was at the frontline of providing health services during the pandemic, while also implementing community vaccination efforts.
“We are very proud to receive this award as it confirms our dedication to provide health care, education, and partner with those who work to better our communities,” says Jason Lohr, MD, CEO of SAC Health who attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of SAC Health. The award was presented by IEHP’s CEO, Jarrod McNaughton.
Since opening the main campus in the City of San Bernardino six years ago, SAC Health has steadily grown its patient base with new locations in areas that have limited access to quality care. Today, SAC Health operates 11 locations in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
