RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation, a leading private transportation company, announced this week their new COVID-19 policy and guidelines. Designed to protect both RMA staff and customers, the new guidelines follow CDC and other government agency recommendations aimed at reducing the spread of disease.
RMA’s recent implementation of their COVID-19 policy coincides with relaxed restrictions on travel and the reopening of businesses around the country. During this time, it’s crucial that transportation companies take necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of disease. RMA plans to continue monitoring CDC recommendations and will update their policies as more information becomes available.
“Around the globe, organizations and individuals are learning how to best navigate our new normal,” said Ray Gallagher, Vice President of RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation. “At RMA, we’re committed to providing outstanding service to our clients, passengers, and partners. We believe our new policies allow us to continue providing a high level of service while keeping everyone safe.”
In order to ensure a clean and safe environment for chauffeurs and passengers, RMA washes and sanitizes all vehicles daily and wipes down all seats, door handles, windows, and other high-touch surfaces before and after every journey. RMA has begun using Electrostatic Disinfecting sprayers to clean and sanitize their vehicles. Popular in the travel and hospitality industries, these machines cover a large surface area and kill viruses in hard to reach places.
In addition to cleaning and sanitizing vehicles and office spaces, RMA chauffeurs have begun wearing face coverings while working. As recommended by the CDC and required in some states, RMA asks that all passengers also wear face coverings while traveling in chauffeured vehicles. RMA will provide disposable face coverings to passengers upon request.
RMA has replaced handshakes with a friendly, no-touch greeting. While RMA’s chauffeurs will continue to open doors and assist with luggage, the company has removed packaged mints, newspapers, and magazines from the insides of vehicles.
In order to maintain social distancing, RMA is limiting the number of people allowed inside their luxury and executive-style vehicles. The company does not permit more than two passengers in their sedans, or four passengers in their SUVs. Passengers are not permitted in the front seat of either of these vehicles. For vans, minibuses, and motor coaches, RMA will only allow one passenger per row.
RMA continues to encourage their employees to work from home to reduce the number of people in the office. While in the office, RMA staff must wear facemasks and follow strict social distancing guidelines. RMA provides temperature testing for employees and anyone showing symptoms of illness are instructed to stay home.
RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation strives to ensure the safety of their chauffeurs and passengers. The company will continue to monitor the global situation closely and may update their policies from time to time as more information becomes available.
