Renal Support Network’s (RSN) bi-annual magazine celebrates its fifteenth year with a new name and a new look. First published in 2004 as Live&Give it is now called KidneyTalk™ Magazine. RSN is the leader in engaging people who have kidney disease with the most prolific library of patient experiences.
This publication provides people who have kidney disease with hope, education, encouragement and strategies to navigate this illness. Many of the articles are written by people who have firsthand knowledge of what it’s like to manage kidney disease and succeed. In addition, professional guest authors provide their expertise.
RSN Founder and President Lori Hartwell said, “Being a kidney disease survivor since the age of two in 1968, I launched this publication fifteen years ago, knowing how essential learning from ones’ peers is to being able to survive and thrive with this disease. An illness is too demanding when you don’t have hope! “
The content RSN creates educates readers about anything and everything a person may experience from being diagnosed, dialysis, and to receiving a kidney transplant. Many articles in the magazine are timeless, inspirational and readers say their copies of the magazine are collected, re-read and shared with friends and family. The printed publication currently reaches over 35,000 readers per issue with an increasing number of online readers looking for answers every day.”
KidneyTalk™ magazine is mailed twice a year to Renal Support Network members including patients, family members, healthcare professionals and to dialysis and transplant facilities throughout the United States at no charge. Digital issues and downloadable PDFs of the current and previous issues are available on online.
