redtag.ca is back with SickKids Day on August 17th in support of the SickKids Foundation

We are thrilled to be able to utilize our corporate platform to contribute to the SickKids Foundation in a way where our customers can be a part of the pledge.

redtag.ca is kicking off an exciting season with its longstanding partnership with the SickKids Foundation, starting with SickKids Day on August 17th, 2022, where 1% of all sales will be donated to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

As a leader in the Canadian travel industry, redtag.ca has been supporting the SickKids Foundation since 2016 with various corporate philanthropy initiatives. With their annual charity golf tournament and SickKids walk still ahead in 2022, this will be a great way to kick off their support of this vital resource to families experiencing the unimaginable. To date, redtag.ca has raised over 1.5 million dollars for the SickKids Foundation.

“The SickKids Foundation is a cause that deeply matters to our organization,” says Frank DeMarinis, CEO, H.I.S.-Red Label Vacations Inc. “Giving back to such a special community full of families and children who desperately rely on this type of unique care is something we always have at the forefront of what we do. We are thrilled to be able to utilize our corporate platform to contribute to the SickKids Foundation in a way where our customers can be a part of the pledge.”

Proceeds will go directly to the Labatt Family Heart Centre at SickKids and will allow for further innovation in research and care while helping train the next generation of leaders in cardiac critical care and cardiovascular surgery. As a result of the funds raised to date by redtag.ca, the hospital was able to move forward with the renovation of the Cardiac Operating Suite, which is one of the hospital’s busiest operating rooms where surgeons will treat the most complex heart conditions in the province.

“We are incredibly grateful to have partners like redtag.ca and their customers, who continue to show tremendous generosity towards SickKids,” says Adam Starkman, Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at SickKids Foundation. “Through turbulent times for travel, the redtag.ca team has gone above and beyond to fundraise for critical programming in the hospital like the Labatt Family Heart Centre. That level of dedication to the cause helps make the centre at SickKids among the top three heart centres in the world, where innovation is consistently leading to better outcomes for patients with heart disease.”

redtag.ca’s SickKids Day complements other year-round activities that redtag.ca supports to raise money and awareness for the SickKids Foundation. This includes its 7th Annual Charity Golf Classic charity tournament on September 8, 2022, for which redtag.ca sincerely thanks all its participating partners and suppliers that are a part of this special event.
