It has been announced that Microsoft Azure won the $10 billion JEDI contract for cloud services for the DoD.
This contract simplifies funding for DoD mission owners that are planning to move applications to the cloud. But beyond funding, these mission owners are running into another complication: Where can they find experts in both Microsoft Azure and Impact Level 5 (IL5) security compliance that can ensure that their applications are IL5 compliant when moved to the Azure cloud?
Only seven organizations have been granted IL5 Provisional Authorizations (PAs) by the DoD for their cloud environments. Of these, only the Project Hosts cloud environment is built on Microsoft Azure and implements all of the IL5 controls required for DoD mission owner applications (including scanning, patching, penetration testing of the applications, etc.). DoD mission owners using Project Hosts have marveled at how smoothly Project Hosts has navigated the very complex IL5 compliance process for the applications they use. It is almost like they are working with JEDI compliance knights.
About Project Hosts:
Project Hosts implements security and compliance on Azure for US Federal government and healthcare organizations. Project Hosts’ pre-audited environments give organizations turnkey compliance for their entire applications, removing a key barrier to migration from on-premise deployments into Azure. Project Hosts environments hold certifications and authorizations from ISO 27001, HIPAA, HITRUST, FedRAMP, and the DoD, including the first DoD IL5 PATO to a company with under $1 Billion in revenue. Healthcare organizations, federal, state and local government agencies, and enterprises rely on Project Hosts to ensure they have a cloud solution that meets their business needs, their budget and most importantly, protects their organization, employees and data from unauthorized access or theft.
