“It’s an honor to be a part of an organization that makes education accessible for so many amazing kids. If you are able to sponsor a child, I encourage you to do so,” says Professor Michael Fraas.
Brillo de Sol school was established in 2005 by Leticia “Letty” López Contreras. Frustrated with the inability of public schools in Guatemala to adequately address the special learning needs of her son, Letty decided to start her own school. This year, the school provides education and services to nearly 100 children with a variety of learning abilities. Many of the children come from extreme poverty.
