President of American Academy of Pediatrics to Speak at Free Webinar on Children and School in the Context of COVID-19

COVID-19 cases in children and teens have been on the rise. In this November 4th webinar, Dr. Sara Goza, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics will share recommendations to keep children and families safe as in-person classes resume.

Coronavirus is increasingly infecting children and teens. Some say the trend is driven by school reopenings and the resumption of sports, play dates, and other activities. Children of all ages now make up about 11% of all U.S cases – with twice as many teens infected as younger children.

Wednesday, November 4, at 3:00 pm ET The American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) will offer a free webinar on the topic of children and schools in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic featuring Dr. Sara H. Goza, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Dr. Goza will present the latest information on children and COVID-19, and recommend ways to keep children and communities safe as in-person classes resume. The presentation will conclude with a Q & A. The webinar is part of ACMT’s ongoing web series, “The Medical and Public Health Considerations of COVID-19.” Register for the webinar here.
