Pine Run Retirement Community, one of Bucks County’s leading senior living and senior care providers, recently held “Make-a-Wish” Day for its residents at the community’s 43-acre campus in Doylestown Township.
During the special day, Pine Run’s staff members, who are called associates, fulfilled wishes for seniors who live in the community’s independent living cottages and apartments. Wishes ranged from simple tasks such as doing laundry or washing a car to fun activities such as a ride-along with Doylestown police officers or visiting a palm reader in New Hope. An ice cream truck distributed free frozen treats to residents, who are called villagers, throughout the campus on Ferry Road to cap off the delightful day.
“Make-a-Wish” Day is a reflection of Pine Run Retirement Community’s service philosophy, “Make Their Day!” All staff members are committed to this vibrant and lively ideology which ensures that they provide attentive personal service to villagers, fellow associates, visitors, and volunteers in order to enrich the experience of life at Pine Run Retirement Community.
“Pine Run is the villagers’ home, and we are privileged to ‘Make their Day’ every day,” said Executive Director Maria Santangelo. “Every interaction with a villager teaches us something about them, and about ourselves. It is our mission to ensure that their home is positive, supportive, and happy. ‘Make-a-Wish’ Day gives us the opportunity once a year to do so in person.”
