The Fall 2019 release adds enterprise-grade data security to the Phoenix ICON camera platform and adds support for Windows 10. The release, available December 1, is available to all current Phoenix ICON customers at no cost and is also available in a system upgrade bundle that includes a 4x increase in image and video storage.
Features of the Fall 2019 release include:
•Enterprise-grade data security, including support for multiple user accounts, user roles to control access to camera features and data, enforcement of strong passwords, encryption of data at rest, and audit logging
•Upgrade to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise which provides users with a smooth upgrade path from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10
•Bug fixes and performance enhancements

With this release, we provide our customers a smooth upgrade path to Windows 10, on a version that provides a long-term stable release that is appropriate for medical devices.”

With the Fall 2019 software release, available December 1, current Phoenix customers will have two options for upgrading their Phoenix ICON™ platforms.
•The first is through a free self-install (“do-it-yourself”) kit which includes a Windows 10 IoT Enterprise license, along with the software utilities and step-by-step instructions to complete the migration to Windows 10.
•The second option is to purchase a complete Phoenix ICON cart upgrade kit, which includes the Fall 2019 software release, expanded hard disk capacity that provides a 4x increase in image and video storage space, a replacement cart battery, and on-site installation and training by a Phoenix ICON technical expert.
The patented Phoenix ICON™ wide-field retinal imaging platform is a cart-based system with a handheld camera. It combines a completely reinvented optical design with modern sensor technology and proprietary software to deliver extraordinary retinal images, especially of darkly pigmented retinas.
