Pawzitivity Pet Products, a company that currently owns brands Vet Naturals and Senior Pups has announced that they have acquired two more companies that are in the pet products industry, Ruff Trade Dog and K9 Nature Supplements.
This move comes at a time where demand for premium pet care products is increasing and expected to continue to experience strong growth over the next few years. One report by Edge by Ascential suggests that consumers are increasingly seeing their pets as family members, and are prepared to spend more on pet food and products that are healthy, nutritious and improve living conditions.
“Right now, we’re seeking high-quality products with great brand recognition and reputation, and adding them to VetNaturals.com,” said Gary Nealon, Co-Owner of Pawzitivity Pet Products. “That will allow us to provide the highest quality products to our customers and their furry friends.”
The Ruff Trade Dog acquisition allows the Pawzitivity Pet Products brand to expand their reach even further, adding dog grooming and care supplies to the list of products that they offer. Ruff Trade Dog currently supplies all-natural and handmade dog grooming products, some of which have been featured in the BarkShop –a popular subscription service for dog products.
Currently, Ruff Trade Dog is an Etsy-based company, but Nealon has plans to expand it. There’s a new website in the works, and even plans to add new products soon.
“Finding all-natural, gentle dog grooming products can be a challenge, but we’re committed to sourcing the very best to ensure the health of our pets,” said Nealon.
The acquisition of K9 Nature Supplements also aligns well with the Pawzitivity Pet Products mission of supplying the best pet products possible.
K9 Nature Supplements provides nutritional supplements for dogs of every age and breed. The company is committed to ensuring that each product they provide is of the highest quality. Their supplements are designed to give dogs the nutrition they need to stay strong and healthy throughout all stages of life.
Pet products and pet supplies are a growing industry. Sixty-seven percent of all U.S. households own a pet, and according to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), in 2019, $95.7 billion was spent on pets in the U.S., with 38.4 billion being spent on pet food and treats alone. This figure is estimated to grow to $99.0 billion in 2020.
“We’ve seen strong interest in safe and healthy pet products,” said Nealon, “And as committed pet parents ourselves, we understand the important role that pets play in our lives. Each of our products is selected carefully, with the overall goal of making our pets’ lives as happy and healthy as possible.”
