The Conference Forum is pleased to announce the relaunch of the 7th annual Patients as Partners US conference in a live virtual format on August 19-21, 2020.
Patients as Partners US is the first conference in the US guided by patients with Pharma R&D executives and FDA to demonstrate how patient involvement gets implemented throughout the medicines development cycle in order to drive greater efficiencies in getting therapeutics to patients faster.
The event is co-chaired by Jamie Troil Goldfarb, a cancer veteran and advocate; Marilyn Metcalf, PhD, Senior Director, Patient Engagement, GSK; and Pablo Graiver, VP, Patient Engagement Digital Strategy, IQVIA.
It features representation from three FDA agencies, who will provide patient engagement guidance updates and new efforts: Anindita Saha, Director of External Expertise and Partnerships (EEP), CDRH; Captain Robyn Bent, Patient Focused Drug Program Director, CDER, FDA; and Karen Jackler, Patient Engagement Program Manager, CDER.

Ronnie Sharpe, Cystic Fibrosis Advocate, will be providing Clinical Trial Experiences as a CF Patient and Insights on Trial Disruptions from COVID-19.
Darryl Sleep, MD, SVP, Global Medical and CMO, Amgen will offer a CMO’s Perspective on Patient-Centric Research & Building a Culture of Patient Centricity.
Barry Greene, President, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, will speak about Partnering with Advocacy to Help Patients with Clinical Trial Enrollment, Disease Education and Access to Treatments.
Ken Getz, MBA, Director and Associate Professor / Founder and Board Chair, Tufts CSDD/CISCRP, will offer New Data on Patient Preferences and Experiences to Inform Patient Engagement Strategies and Tactics.
Cornerstone speaker, Leah Fine, Senior Director, Excellence in Screening and Care, GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer, will provide an Update on the Centers of Excellence Program and Integrating Data into Annual Strategy in a GO2 Foundation Case Study.
Chip Bell, PhD, Customer Service Guru, will deliver tangible examples of What We Can Learn From the Service Industry To Bring Value Back to Patients.
