If you are thinking about going back to work, please don’t wait, you can start right now online and have your certification up-to-date, then you will be one step closer when you decide to help.

Pacific Medical Training provides training and certification specifically for life support and emergency room health care professions. These include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), 12-Lead ECG and more.
To support New York during this State of Emergency, Pacific Medical Training is offering:
-
Nearly free certification courses for all retired health care workers in New York during the State of Emergency - Government access to its student roster of 50,000 current and retired health care providers
“We hear the news and want to help,” says William Entriken, Vice President and General Manager of Pacific Medical Training, “but it is hard to reach the right people managing this crisis so we are putting out this press release and hope to get in touch.”
Right now hospitals across the United States are mostly keeping up with demand and intensive care units are supporting the number of incoming patients. But as the situation in New York progresses, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo says the situation in a couple of weeks will be “overwhelming the capacity of the healthcare system by two or three times.” [1]
That same day, Governor Cuomo announced “The State Department of Health and the State Education Department have sent letters to retired health care professionals and all schools of nursing, public health and medicine encouraging qualified health care personnel to sign up for on-call work during the COVID-19 crisis. [2]
Pacific Medical Training is answering this call and is uniquely qualified to help because:
- Current ACLS certification is required for New York physicians working in emergency rooms.
- Retired physicians don’t have this certification.
- Pacific Medical Training certification can be completed 100% online, where American Heart Association certification requires in-person training, typically in large groups.
- ACLS guidelines have changed recently and Pacific Medical Training uses the latest guidelines and offers American Medical Association PRA Category 1 Creditâ„¢.
This training and certification is being offered “mostly free” at 80% off regular prices. Additionally, these purchases will each include one vintage baseball card. Because Pacific Medical Training is a vendor for the U.S. Army and is working with the U.S. General Services Administration, there are applicable regulations preventing the company from discounting its products. These “with baseball card” options are entirely new product categories.
PMT’s student roster includes health care providers mostly in acute care, emergency rooms and intensive care units. Because it has provided training since 1997, it has access to many health care providers that have since retired and may be available to work.
William Entriken, encourages retired health care workers to start now, saying “if you are thinking about going back to work, please don’t wait, you can start right now online and have your certification up-to-date, then you will be one step closer when you decide to help.”
Health care centers hiring more than 100 retired health care professionals are requested to email support+retired@pacificmedicaltraining.com [3]. Government agencies wanting to reach our students, please email support+govcontact@pacificmedicaltraining.com.
