Olive Fertility Centre is delighted to announce that Dr. Bonnie Woolnough MD FRCSC has joined Olive Fertility, bringing the number of fertility specialists at Olive to eight.
“We are all very excited to have Dr. Woolnough join us. She brings up-to-date knowledge, eagerness to help patients, and a gentle, clear communication style. I’m really pleased she chose to join us,” says Olive co-director Dr Beth Taylor.
After obtaining her medical degree from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Woolnough completed her residency training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She then went on to do her fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Ottawa. She is a registered sonographer in obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
“I am so thrilled to be joining such a wonderful team of caring professionals at Olive who share my commitment to helping build families with compassion, and the most up-to-date science available,” says Dr. Woolnough.
Dedicated to the ongoing improvement of education in reproductive endocrinology, Dr. Woolnough is a member of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology REI committee, participating in the creation of clinical practice guidelines in fertility care. She has furthered her passion for education by giving Reproductive Medicine lectures and seminars to medical students and residents and participating as a medical school examiner. She has published articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Woolnough has a particular interest in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and other endocrine disorders as well as the effects of age on reproduction.
