nView Health, a behavioral health solutions company, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with CheckWare, a leading provider of digital health services and patient engagement in Norway. By working together, the two companies will ensure that hospitals, clinics and municipalities in the Norwegian healthcare system have access to the world’s most cited mental health assessment solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, CheckWare and nView have entered into a multi-year license agreement whereby Checkware is the exclusive distributor of nView’s flagship product, the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (the M.I.N.I.). The M.I.N.I. is a structured diagnostic interview that quickly and accurately assesses up to 17 adult and 24 pediatric mental health disorders. It has been used in clinical research and patient care for more than 25 years and cited in more than 17,000 publications. Now in a digital format, the M.I.N.I. and its brief screener along with several other accompanying solutions, help providers around the world more accurately identify, diagnose and monitor patients with mental health disorders.
Norway’s population of more than five million people is not immune to the growing mental health challenges being seen around the world. According to a recent report published by the Nordic Center for Welfare and Social Issues, growing mental illness among young people is one of the most serious public health challenges facing Nordic societies today.
“CheckWare is in a fortunate position to have regional agreements with Norway’s four healthcare regions. We are scaling up significantly to meet the demand from our unparalleled customer base in Norway, which gives us a solid backbone to grow our business outside of Norway. To date, over four million patient assessments have been administered in CheckWare. The nView M.I.N.I. is in high demand from Norwegian clinicians and will be a very valuable tool for our customers in diagnosis and patient monitoring. We are very happy to partner with nView Health to jointly meet our customers’ need for extensively used and trusted health assessments,” said Anders Melbye, CCO of CheckWare.
Jim Szyperski, CEO of nView Health, adds, “We are delighted to announce this long-term partnership with CheckWare. As the leading provider of digital healthcare solutions in Norway, CheckWare is ideally positioned to represent the M.I.N.I. and other nView solutions to better serve the mental health needs of the Norwegian healthcare system. This is an important first step as we look to aggressively expand the availability of our evidence-based mental health solutions by aligning with great partners like CheckWare. The CheckWare team has a proven track record of getting digital healthcare solutions to those who need them most, and by working together, our teams will provide healthcare professionals across Norway with solutions to better serve the mental health needs of their communities.”
The nView Connect Program℠ enables companies like CheckWare to easily integrate nView’s behavioral health solutions into their own systems or workflows and to build distribution networks that give more healthcare providers access to its solutions.
