“We’re excited to offer the leave benefits report to our clients and continue demonstrating our commitment to supporting informed choices with relevant data and insight,” said Kim Bell, NFP’s senior vice president, head of health and benefits.

NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides property and casualty (P&C), corporate benefits, retirement, and individual solutions, today announced the publication of a leave benefits report in collaboration with Helios HR, a leading human capital and talent acquisition consulting firm. NFP and Helios partnered to survey more than 190 companies, representing 16 states and 16 industries, to assess the prevalence of certain leave benefits and the perceived value of those benefits for employees.
The leave benefits report is designed to support business decisions related to paid leave benefits for employees through insights on the types of leave being offered, typical amounts of time off, program structures and more. Key findings include the challenges employers overcome to provide certain leave benefits, including paid time off, paid parental leave and holidays, as well as the success employers realize in offering these benefits to employees. The survey also uncovered the added flexibility employers are providing through customized leave and return-to-work programs designed to attract and retain employees.
The report is available to NFP clients that want to access industry and regional data as they evaluate employee leave options. While the survey was conducted nationally, trends for specific regions, industries and employer-size groups in conjunction with the corresponding national trend should be considered.
“We’re excited to offer the leave benefits report to our clients and continue demonstrating our commitment to supporting informed choices with relevant data and insight,” said Kim Bell, NFP’s senior vice president, head of health and benefits. “When organizations have a better understanding of their options and what others are doing, they enhance their ability to implement competitive benefit plans for their employees. We appreciate the collaboration with Helios HR and look forward to the response from our clients.”
“Organizations are under intense pressure to build benefit programs that are meaningful to employees and align with strategic and financial goals,” said Beth Robertson, corporate benefits managing director in NFP’s Mid-Atlantic region. “The leave benefits report is another example of an NFP resource that helps clients manage through this pressure with information, data and perspective. The more insight they have, the better positioned they are to make smart choices, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to be part of that process.”
