Investing in the right technology is key, and HHAeXchange continues to listen to the direct needs of our customers, equipping them with the tools they need to improve business operations, employee retention, and care delivery.
NEW YORK (PRWEB)
June 29, 2023
HHAeXchange, a leading provider of homecare management solutions for providers, managed care organizations (MCOs), and state Medicaid agencies, today announced the results of a new survey designed to determine the top challenges and business priorities facing homecare agencies, as well as the role technology is playing in supporting their goals.
As the demand for homecare continues to grow, agencies have new and ever-evolving priorities – such as ensuring compliance and reducing costs, delivering better care, and improving caregiver retention. Of homecare providers surveyed, more than half (57%) stated that investing in technology solutions would help meet these top business priorities in 2023 and beyond.
“The old ways of providing homecare no longer work in today’s dynamic marketplace,” said Stephen Vaccaro, President of HHAeXchange. “Homecare agencies need innovative tools and technology that enable them to prioritize proactive homecare, enhance health outcomes, streamline operations, and foster business growth.”
The survey also found that of agencies using a manual billing and payroll system, 34% said they spend upwards of 16+ hours per week digitizing timesheet processes, tracking hours and ensuring claims are compliant.
“Agencies today are still burdened with manual administrative tasks, creating inefficiencies and greater risk of error as compared to automated processes,” Vaccaro continued. “Investing in the right technology is key, and HHAeXchange continues to listen to the direct needs of our customers, equipping them with the tools they need to improve business operations, employee retention, and care delivery.”
Notably, 48% of surveyed homecare agencies stated their organization has experienced a reduction in errors in scheduling caregivers by leveraging HHAeXchange’s platform. Furthermore, over a quarter of agencies have experienced a reduction in hours spent on manual administrative tasks.
Survey results also showed that homecare agencies are putting a greater emphasis on caregiver retention and recruiting, incorporating different solutions and tactics to improve these efforts, such as supplementary education, onboarding, and training, caregiver rewards and incentive programs, competitive benefits, and promotions and bonuses.
