The Eighth Grade Program at New Alliance Academy Will Continue Through 2020

“The programs offered at New Alliance Academy give our students a deeper understanding of themselves while setting them up for success on their journey to adulthood.” – New Alliance Academy Administration

Recent nationwide mental health statistics have shown that symptoms of significant emotional distress are being detected at much younger ages than previously recorded. This earlier symptomatic presentation was noted by school districts in northern New Jersey as well. For this reason, New Alliance Academy received inquiries regarding the availability of therapeutic programs for middle school students similar to those it had developed for teenagers.

To meet the behavioral health and educational needs of younger students in the area, New Alliance Academy initiated an eighth grade pilot program in 2019. The school, which has enjoyed an excellent reputation built over eleven years since its inception, accepted seven students in the new program. Based on very favorable school district feedback and family satisfaction rates, the Academy decided to continue offering middle school education in 2020. Enrollment is ongoing and applications are currently being reviewed for the eighth grade level.
