NCPDP President & CEO Lee Ann Stember stated, “This year, we are honored to present the Champion Award to Retired Admiral Brett Giroir, M.D. We believe Dr. Giroir should be recognized for his long tenure in supporting access to care and enhancing interoperability as a Champion of NCPDP and our standards-setting process. As former Assistant Secretary of Health, Dr. Giroir has collaborated with NCPDP in understanding the need for pharmacy standards that improve interoperability to ease pharmacy and provider burden via in-workflow processes.”
