NCPDP announced today the call for proposals for its 2023 Annual Technology & Business Conference, “The Great Race to Close Gaps in Care,” which will be held May 8-10, 2023, at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. NCPDP’s national conference draws more than 700 attendees from across the healthcare industry, including technical, business, and executive representatives from health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, retail and independent pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, long-term care providers, healthcare consultants, technology vendors, pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesale drug distributors, database management organizations and others.
“The Great Race to Close Gaps in Care is more than a theme for our 2023 Annual Conference – it captures our earnest enthusiasm to tackle gaps in care that can potentially affect patients’ health and safety, and the ability to optimize healthcare outcomes,” explained Lee Ann Stember, NCPDP President & CEO. “At the heart of many of our strategic initiatives is the imperative to address interoperability issues such as data access, measurement, and data modernization, to support better quality patient care amongst the care team, inclusive of pharmacists, in and across a variety of care settings. We invite all industry stakeholders to join us in this great race to collaborate on sustainable standards and solutions that address gaps in access, quality, and continuity of care to improve the healthcare experience.”
NCPDP is accepting submissions for two session formats at its 2023 Annual Conference:
- Standard Track Sessions are 60-minute sessions, providing for a 45-minute presentation and 15 minutes of question and answer. These sessions are limited to a maximum of two (2) speakers. However, the 2023 Annual Conference Subcommittee will consider more than two speakers/panel discussions if the topic warrants, and the proposal must include a thorough description and detailed information on the session and speakers/panelists (all form fields must be completed).
- Rapid-fire, Hot Topic Sessions are 30-minute sessions focused on a high-level overview of an emerging trend. These sessions are designed to be both cutting-edge and highly focused, requiring the presenter to share ideas and achieve learning objectives in 20 minutes, with the remaining 10 minutes open for interactive discussion. These sessions are intended for one speaker, but if the topic warrants, can have a maximum of two (2) speakers.
