NEW YORK (PRWEB)

Mindful Urgent Care, a leading mental health clinic that offers same-day psychiatric and mental health services, including medication management, in the Greater New York Area, has implemented swift proactive measures to support existing and new patients in response to the emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the disease it causes, named “coronavirus disease 2019” (COVID-19). Effective as of Monday, March 16, 2020, Mindful Urgent Care has increased providers and clinicians, extended business hours, and introduced telehealth video conferencing appointments to help ensure the wellness and safety of residents in the New York Metro area.
Mindful Urgent Care Medical Director Dr. Ram Pardeshi says, “Our highest priority is protecting the health and safety of our employees, patients, and community. While adhering strictly to guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control, we are working diligently to provide extended services to New York City in this time of need. I am extremely proud of the unity our staff has displayed and the speed at which we have implemented new program availability and hours.”
That Mindful Urgent Care is offering extended services in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak is a credit to the mental health clinics’ commitment to patients. Already, there are increased reports of adjustment disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, a common fallout of a global crisis. Maintaining excellence in psychiatric and mental health services is a critical component of enduring short- and long-term changes in daily life, which is why Mindful immediately introduced extended hours and online appointments.
The Greater New York mental health clinic has a history of setting high standards. In 2019, Mindful Urgent Care treated over 2,600 patients and successfully prevented more than 1,000 suicides and psychiatric hospitalizations with cutting-edge mental health and medication management services. To further support the growing need of New Yorkers during the coronavirus outbreak, and beyond, they are opening a fourth location in Grand Central Station at the end of March 2020.
Existing and new patients are encouraged to schedule appointments online by visiting Mindful Urgent Care’s virtual health center. Services include treatment for a variety of anxiety and panic disorders, depression, bipolar disorder and anger management, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and eating disorders. Note that Mindful Urgent Care is a mental health psychiatry and medication management provider – not a medical urgent care provider.
